Terminal Manager - Bulk Chemical Operations

Job Summary Under minimum supervision, provides day-to-day "hands-on" direction for southeast operations. Works closely with Vendors and Customers to ensure superior, ongoing relationships. Handles all maintenance and service issues regarding company fleet. Overall responsibility for safety, DOT compliance, effective routing and dispatching of driver force, hiring, training, coaching and mentoring of drivers, contractors, and operational staff. Effective fiscal management of operations, must understand financials thoroughly and report daily on performance. Essential skills in Sales, Marketing, and Customer on-boarding a must. Focus on recruitment and retention responsibilities. Management Responsibilities Overall management, professional development, training of 30+ drivers, Independent Contractors, and maintenance staff Interview and make hiring decisions on potential candidate Routing, optimizing, and ensuring dispatch meets daily goals Fiscal Responsibility for Operations Maintain optimal uptown on equipment while reducing overall maintenance spend Work closely with organization's Leadership team Required Education / Certifications Must have High School Diploma or general equivalency degree College degree or equivalent work experience Primary Responsibilities & Scope Provides "hands-on" practical day-to-day direction to drivers and Independent Contractors Insures Safety and DOT Compliance standards are enforced Works closely with Vendors to ensure that all service and maintenance standards are met Works closely with internal customers and driver staff in handling all day to day issues that arise and ensuring "world class" customer service standards are met and exceeded Manages fleet of company trucks and IC's to maximize logistic efficiencies Maintains (and repairs when necessary) all on-site equipment and surrounding areas. Maintains the security of the site at all times. Manages team of maintenance personnel/vendors to ensure all safety standards and repair needs are met for the entire fleet Responsible for upholding company brand standards for all drivers, trucks and site Responsible for implementing and executing all operational programs Performs regular daily dispatch function for southeast sites Audits all operational paperwork for accuracy, including but not limited to delivery records and driver payroll Enforces pre and post trip standards for all drivers and conducts routine field safety audits Prepare for and facilitate Monthly Safety Meetings Involved in the hiring, training, coaching and discipline of drivers and contractors Must be willing to be on call 24/7, 365 days of the year for emergency related issues Must be willing to work rotating week ends and back up logistics coordinator Required Experience 8+ years experience in the trucking/maintenance industry Knowledgeable of DOT compliance and Safety Standards Ability to respond on a 24/7-day basis to emergency situations Ability to dispatch company fleet Experience managing minimum of 30+ drivers and maintenance personnel Proficient in Microsoft Office Skills (Word, Excel, Outlook) Experience with multi-state and logistics is preferred Experience as a chemical/crude/refined oil delivery manager or dispatcher is preferred Experience in the bulk chemical, refined products, or crude oil transportation industry is preferred Experience with TMW Dispatch software is preferred. 36525

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster.
